How do you like my costume??
HA! That was my first attempt at taking a photo of me and AI spookifying it. 😉🤣🤦♀️
Anyway, Halloween happens to be my FAVORITE HOLIDAY!
Unfortunately, I don’t know if I was partially bummed out that I didn’t decorate. I do know I have been beyond busy lately. So I didn’t get ANY of my Halloween decor out to set up and scare kids this year.
Now that the day is actually here, I’m beyond bummed out, feeling left out. (Even though it’s my own fault.) I’ll do better next year! I hope. LOL
In my defense, I DID mention to my family that I was just too busy to decrate this year and if they would like to handle it this year I’d more than appreciate their effort.
That’s as far as that went. 😒
Guess we’re the boring house this year.
I do still have my basket full of full size candy bars, and toys for trick-or-treaters!!! Though, we really don’t get many kids here at our house anyway. Which means, we just eat the candy ourselves. Why do I bother!? Oh yeah,,, I LOVE Chocolate. 🤣
On another note, while cleaning this morning I decided the garbage and recycling bins in the kitchen needed to be washed. I emptied them both and under the bins, inside the cabinet, was a paper that must have fallen behind. I picked it up to recycle. I haven’t yet though. It looks like some sort of schoolwork of Janinas (I’m guessing for her ASL class) and it is about her family…. I’ll share a pic just to prove I’m not making this up. LOL
**(We will SKIP over what she said about her brother. 🤦♀️ Siblings! )

The thing that stuck out to me….. My daughter thinks I’m beautiful!
I know, I know,,, people are going to either tell me, ‘Don’t be so vain!’ or ‘You need to learn to love yourself.’ Too bad.
I do love myself, most days. But I rarely feel truly beautiful. I feel like a good person. That’s more important I think.
After growing up in our society where women’s magazines show nothing but sickly scrawny half-dressed girls and teach young girls that they need to be THAT thin to be considered beautiful. They must wear makeup layered on hiding any imperfections. They must wear expensive brands of clothes. A small perky nose, thin cheeks, perfect teeth, fake nails, fake eyelashes, fake fake fake…. well, it just becomes the norm after so long.
Obviously, I came to terms with it, and I am good knowing I’ll never look like a cover model. I wouldn’t want to. I HATE caked on makeup. The only stuff I own is some lip tint, mascara, and an eyebrow color because my scar turned some of my eyebrow blond, but I don’t even use those very often.
I choose to be comfortable and healthy.
I like to joke and say that I COULD be a model if I didn’t love pizza and chocolate so much. Really, who would WANT that type of attention though, NOT me. LOL The attention I crave is a cuddle from an adorable Scottish Highlander calf, puppy snuggles, and most of all, snuggling my husband.
HE thinks I’m beautiful. That’s all I need to worry about. 💕
Finding out my daughter thinks of me as beautiful is just topping on the cake of life. I value her opinion a ton, and I feel like she’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. Created.
MOST IMPORTANTLY! What makes us beautiful is our love for our family, our loyalty, and most importantly our Integrity.
So, all in all, today’s a great day! Even if I don’t get a single trick-or-treater!
Oh,,, todays affirmation card! It’s yet another good one! It also serves as a great reminder to me and anyone else who needs it.

Happy Halloween everyone and enjoy some tricks and/or treats tonight!
*Hugs*
