Dream dream dream….

I’m thinking of the old song by the Everly Brothers “All I have to do is dream” LOL Now it’s stuck in my head! You’re welcome. HA!

I woke up this morning just knowing what I was going to talk about today!

FIRST! Daily Affirmation! This one hit home as I’m always a big worrier.

Back to it. Dreams! Who has them!?

I sure do!

Now, I have had very crazy vivid dreams my whole life. I remember going to high school in the morning, finding my group of friends who I would talk to every morning before class started and they would ask, “What was your dream last night?” LOL

I provided them their morning entertainment with my recollections of the prior night’s dream. Some were pretty funny. Some were so lucid that I could wake up, take a bathroom break, then go back to sleep and pick up where I left off, or restart it if I wanted. Some would continue from night to night like a movie. It was great! LOL

Except for that year I had a reoccurring nightmare that someone broke into the house, walked right into my bedroom and stabbed me to death. I NEVER saw the guys face, it was always hooded and black inside the hood. Creepy!

EVERY NIGHT. For a year!

Once that 6th concussion messed me up, I didn’t dream for a long time. It was like my internal TV was broken. I had NO idea if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Once in a while I’d get a nightmare, some form of PTSD of getting more concussions, or the pain that went with them.

After a long time, a couple of years I think, my dreams returned. I thought maybe it was a good sign for my brain. Who knows.

Though, when years 3 and 4 after my concussion were the most depressing, my dreams became just as depressing. I often dreamt of my own suicide. How I’d do it, Paul trying to stop me, the cops being called. I woke up sobbing more than a few times. This was NOT a good time for me and I really wish at that time, that I didn’t dream at all.

It took work and time to get through that rough patch. A therapist probably would have helped a lot too but search as I did, I found not a one I could afford unfortunately. (I worry just how many others have this same issue.)

Anyway, my dreams are finally pretty much back to normal.

Except now, now my dreams are all about Teas, New recipes that might help with different ailments, my new shampoo recipe and testing that one out.

They are about ordering the supplies I need, picking more Chocolate Mint because I’m getting low. About getting a nice grant to help with all of this and getting my own little commercial kitchen up and running.

I LOVE that I’m good at this. At creating these mixes and things to help people. I’m not a fan of dreaming about it every night. LOL

Tonight, maybe I’ll try reading a new book to get my mind wrapped around that and have a more entertaining dream instead.

With my luck I’ll wake up from a dream of a hot Scotsman in his kilt riding up on his horse, only to hand me a bag of tea I needed for my newest recipe,,, and riding away! Gah! LOL

I’ll take it, I guess.

At least I know I can trust my husband in his own dreams. Often, he’ll wake up from a dream where a hot woman actually approached and hit on him, and he told her, no, he’s married. He exclaimed to me, “I can’t even cheat on you in my dreams!” Ha Ha Ha!!!

This is most likely a learned response because he has already had to wake me up from a dead sleep as I was trying to beat the crap out of him,,, because I was dreaming that I saw him with some hot blond in a strange car as he drove past and her head disappeared in his lap! To which I then (in my dream) jumped into the farm truck to chase them down and run them both over. I was determined to teach him a lesson! HA!

After he woke me up and explained how I was hitting and kicking him, I told him my dream and I was SO pissed! LOL

At that time, we still had his handmade gun cabinet in our bedroom. Within a week he had bought a large gun safe and moved the guns OUT of the bedroom so I couldn’t dream of shooting him. LOL

Funny, not funny…. pretty funny.

FYI, nothing like this has happened since. 🙂

Though I HAVE had dreams where I woke up so mad at him, I was crabby all morning. We always laugh about it after the dream effects wear off. LOL

What was your craziest dream? Please share, I’d love to know I’m not alone. 🙂

Take Care of Yourself

Come spill the tea with me!
