Just another day

Hello world, it is Sunday! Sunday fun day! Isn’t that the saying?

I have a LOT of work to do, Gardens to finish harvesting and getting ready for winter, canning to do, dehydrating more teas, house cleaning, the kitchens a mess, laundry – God the laundry never ends!

Yet,,,, all I can think about is taking a nap.

It is Noon and I am already in deep cognitive fatigue. When did Sundays stop being for rest? I honestly can’t remember the last time Paul and I had a weekend or just a Sunday where we had absolutely nothing to do but, relax. Though, with my memory I guess I’m not one to ask. LOL …….

Does anyone out there still practice a quiet and restful Sunday??

Does anyone out there look around at all they need to get done, and freeze?

Completely unable to just pick a spot and start.

I could very much use an entire week to just, catch up. No other plans, no helping anywhere else, no one stopping in distracting me from what I need to accomplish, no last minute changes. JUST CATCHING UP. LOL (To me that sounds selfish and mean because I love company. ugh!)

Please tell me I’m not the only one!

I felt somewhat rested when I woke up but my neck was pretty sore and when my necks out of wack everything is thrown out of wack, and then I get crabby. Sorry family, Mom’s crabby today! Again.

So. Today’s going to be short and sweet. I’m putting my foot down. Paul’s gone out to the woods, Janina’s gone, Garretts sound asleep, the dogs are all asleep. So, I’m going to take a nap damn it! Is that selfish? Maybe, but today, I don’t really care. HA!

I’ll set an alarm and wake up in an hour and get some cleaning done. Maybe laundry, maybe garden, I don’t know, but I WILL pick something, AFTER I wake up.

So, I’ll leave you all with this question to answer, “How do you plan a ‘nothing weekend’ to just relax without feeling guilty?”
